ENVOSOUND

Inspired by digitally controlled analog synthesis from 80's era gaming hardware, it evokes the nostalgia of classic gaming hardware while sounding completely fresh and modern. You can create sounds reminiscent of classic video game soundtracks while incorporating cutting-edge production techniques and effects.

Envosound is a fusion of synthesis, sequencing, and arpeggiation. Morph notes into complex harmonic patterns and never heard before sounds.

Envosound is a versatile tool for producers and composers across genres, from ambient and experimental music to electronic dance music and beyond.

Supports Windows 7 and up and MacOS including Apple silicon. Available in VST3 and AU formats.

Relativistic sequencer: Originating from early game technology where it created complex sounds from simple hardware, Envosounds relativistic sequencer lets you create anything from crazy bleeps to arpeggiations and glissandos while staying in the key and scale you choose.

The relativistic sequencer is unique in that it operates with intervals rather than absolute notes. This means it can create sequences utterly different from what you might expect from traditional sequencers. By manipulating intervals and scales, you can forge progressions that evolve in unexpected ways, taking your music in exciting new directions.

Phase-locked clock: Envosound boasts a unique phase-locked clock feature that remains perfectly synced to the beat, even when modulated at different speeds. This clock smoothly glides to the desired rate, effortlessly transitioning from slower to faster tempos over multiple bars. For example, you could slow the clock from 1/128 to 1/4 over two bars, with the clock transitioning to the new tempo perfectly in time with each 4/4 beat. This allows you to experiment with tempo changes and other rhythmic effects while keeping your music flawlessly in sync and on the beat.

Retro oscillators: Envosound offers more than just the standard square wave - it also includes sine, triangle, and saw waveforms to give you a wide range of tonal options. In addition, Envosound features two unique noise sources: simplex and retro. Simplex generates smooth noise with a frequency peak that matches the played note, while retro produces square wave noise using a linear feedback shift register, similar to the early game consoles. Finally, Envosound includes a fractal waveform that can render complex mathematical shapes as sound. With shape controls for each waveform, you can customize your sound to fit your unique creative vision.

Chained after the oscillator is an envelope-controlled multi-mode filter. The filter is followed by a straightforward tempo-synced delay and reverb effect, which add a sense of space and depth to your sound. Together, these effects form a powerful toolset that allows you to create music that is both complex and accessible.

Flow visualizer: This real-time OpenGL waterfall visualization offers a mesmerizing and dynamic representation of the outputted frequencies over time. This means that you can actually see your sound take shape and evolve as you create it.

The flow visualizer is especially powerful when combined with Envosound's step display, which visually represents the pattern of notes over time. Combining these two visual elements lets you get a complete and real-time picture of your sound, allowing you to make informed decisions and adjust your settings with greater precision.
